Since our last announcement we have been working hard behind the scenes to overcome the various obstacles and difficulties surrounding the purchase of Talbot Road, E7. Throughout this time we have been patient whilst taking professional advice and making du’ā, walhamdulillāh.
However, it has become evident that we can no longer pursue with this particular building. Primarily, this is because of two main factors. The first is that the vendor has increased the purchase price to £750,000. Our surveyors and valuer have advised us against accepting this increased price in-light of the second factor. This being that the property has been found to require extensive refurbishment costs, making it beyond normal property value margins and rendering it as an uneconomical purchase for us. We remind ourselves and you that this is from the Wisdom of Allāh and He is the best of Planners.
With every hardship comes ease and we are able to confirm that we have found another prospective building for Masjid Athari with a better scope as a masjid than the previous building. The developments have been positive so far and we ask Allāh to make the affairs of the Muslims easy and grant us Masjid Athari swiftly. Ameen.
Remember that the Messenger of Allah (عليه الصلاة والسلام) said ‘the best of Eemān is: Patience and Forbearance’, (Saheeh Al-Jaami’ As-Sagheer Shaikh Al Albāni).
