NEW Update: Masjid Abdul Aziz Bin Baz

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the name of Allāh, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

As-Salāmu ‘Alaikum Wa Rahmatullāhi Wa Barakātuh

So far…

In July, by the Grace, Bounty and Permission of our Lord and then your generous du’ā and financial assistance, Al-Athariyyah was able to complete the purchase of a former church for the purpose of establishing the first Salafi Masjid in East London, Masjid Abdul Aziz Bin Baz. We thank you all for your continued support and patience since then. Remember, ‘A building in which previously partners were associated with Allāh, The Most High, now to be established as a place of worship for Allāh alone.’ May Allāh place it upon your scale of good deeds. Ameen!

Since then we have been working tirelessly and exerting much effort in employing an Architectural firm to work with our management team to develop the best layout for Masjid Abdul Aziz Bin Baz for now and for what can be achieved in the future, Inshā’Allāh.

Our final agreed design enables us to maximise the use of the existing ground floor within the budget that we have available to us. This is important so as to avoid incurring too much additional debt as the Masjid still has some previous debts to clear with your assistance, bi-thinillāh.

We are in the process to appoint, within the next two weeks, a building contractor from our shortlist of preferred builders. They will carry out the necessary building works to turn the former church into a fully functioning and fit-for-purpose Masjid, Inshā’Allāh.

It is envisaged that the building works, once started, will be completed within 3-4 months, Inshā’Allāh. Imagine Masjid Abdul Aziz Bin Baz open and functioning in a few months. Prayers taking place! Weekly Jumu’ah sermons taking place! Islamic lessons for brothers and sisters taking place! Children’s learning taking place! Exciting times ahead!

We will keep you updated as the works commence and progress in the coming weeks.
