Alhamdulillāh, today, (6/2/2014), we have been advised by our Solicitors that the initial deadline date for a proposed exchange of contracts has been extended from Friday 7th February 2014 to Friday 28th February 2014. This is to allow further legal formalities to be finalised with the vendors’ solicitors and to carry out vital checks and Local Authority/Commercial Searches.
All Praise is to Allāh, The Mighty and Majestic, that we have been granted an extension to continue fundraising and reach the target amount needed for the purchase of the building. Our campaign has been built upon transparency and clarity from the start as it has been witnessed. Athariyyah has a historical footprint in East London and Masjid Athari will be, by the Mercy and Tawfeeq of Allāh, a milestone for the local and national community.
Let us now bolster our efforts in these remaining days to firstly make dua’, to Allāh, to grant us success and then work even harder to raise the remaining funds to establish Masjid Athari. Verily it has been mentioned in an authentic hadeeth, ‘Whoever builds a masjid for the sake of Allāh, Allāh will build for him a house in Jannah’ (Bukhāri and Muslim).
